For your first class with us, please arrive 15 minutes before your class for an introduction and safety discussion.
Beginner-level classes will teach students the basics of flameworking under close supervision of an instructor. Students will learn how to use flameworking tools and equipment to manipulate glass through the use of heat and gravity. These classes will include a survey of flameworking techniques and history as well as demonstrations and practice time.
Beginner flameworking classes require no prior experience.
Intermediate flameworking classes will cover specific techniques beyond the scope of beginner classes. Having mastered the basics of flameworking, students will learn core foundation skills including advanced color application, complex patterns, glass blowing, and hot attachments. Through both demonstrations and hands-on practice time, students will have the freedom to explore and expand upon their own independent projects.
In advanced flameworking classes, students will work to master specific techniques as well as their own technical pursuits.
Private flameworking classes offer students of any level the opportunity to work one-on-one with an instructor. This extra practice time is a great way to expand upon techniques learned in class as well as to enhance your flameworking skills more quickly. Private lessons may also be held for students unable to fit into or attend classes within the structured schedule.
To schedule a private lesson, please contact us directly.
